As a Wilmington NC family photographer,
the Landfall gardens are one of my favorite locations to photograph. Even as the weather gets cooler and the leaves start to change it seems that Landfall is untouched by Mother Nature. Roses are in bloom and everything is still green. It’s one of Wilmington’s magical spots. 😉 Finding the perfect location that showcases a family’s love and has a special meaning that is also beautiful is essential in magical family portraits.
I’ve had the honor of photographing the beautiful Sosne family for five years. I’ve started photographing them when Davis was only a baby (not even a year old yet.) I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Emerson’s newborn session. They are the sweetest kiddos and so fun of spunk and energy. Watching the kiddos grow through the years brings me the greatest joy and I am so honored to be apart of their family tradition.
A warm and nurturing mother
When I arrived for their session, the kids were in full energizer mode, running around and playing with each other. As I said my hellos to Quinn and Adam, Quinn called her kiddos over and they came running. The admiration and love those kids have for their mother is such an honor to see. If youve had the pleasure of meeting Quinn, you know she is the kindest, sweetest person you will ever meet. When you watch her childerns interactions you know that genuine bond is evident in the way they look at her. It sets the perfect stage for family portraits.
We started with photographing the whole family in and around the pergola and then I let each of the kiddos choose where they wanted to be photographed. By the time Emerson got to pick her spots the kids were over it. Haha! So we let the kiddos run around and I grabbed a photo of mom and dad kissing as the kids ran around just as the sun dropped to the horizon. It was pure magic! 😉
