Beauty Lies in Authenticity
In the world of senior photography, there’s an undeniable pressure to conform to certain standards of beauty and behavior. But what if I told you that true beauty lies in authenticity? Meet Keagan – a senior I recently had the pleasure of photographing. From the moment she stepped in front of my camera, it was clear that she was unapologetically herself, and that’s what makes her and made her session truly remarkable.
Keagan doesn’t adhere to society’s norms or expectations. Instead, she embraces herself with confidence and grace. During our session, Keagan didn’t force a smile just because she was told to or its what society expects of her. Instead, she allowed her genuine emotions to shine through, resulting in portraits that capture who she is.
One of the things I admire most about Keagan is her choice of footwear. While most seniors opt for dressier shoes or heels for their portraits, Keagan confidently rocked her favorite pair of Converse sneakers. (Girl after my own heart! I love a good pair of sneakers.) It was a simple yet powerful statement of her individuality and refusal to conform to traditional standards of beauty. Through her choice of footwear, Keagan reminded us all that being yourself means embracing what makes you comfortable and happy, regardless of societal expectations.
Keagan’s authenticity
