Halloween Spooktacular – Strawberry | Wilmington NC Family Photographer

I am a bit behind on posting photos from my Halloween Spooktacular but I just LOVE seeing all the kiddos in their Halloween costumes, so I just had to share! My Halloween Spooktacular was a two part event! First was Halloween Mini Sessions at Greenfield Lake in Wilmington NC. The second event was a Halloween Party to premiere the images from the Halloween mini sessions! Halloween Spooktacular is by invite only. Those who came to Halloween Spooktacular had first choice in my Christmas Mini Session Event.

Halloween Spooktacular was a great success, despite the triathlon traffic happening in Wilmington that day. :/ lol! First up is the sweet little Sophia in her Strawberry costume. Can you even take this cuteness over load! I absolutely love the one with her hat. She HATED it. lol! This is Sophia’s first Halloween. I love that mom had these pictures taken. A lot of people could care less about Halloween but I absolutely love it. There is a nostalgia about it. It brings you back to the days when you were a kid. When I think of Halloween I think about those days running around the army base with my friends on Halloween night. We would literally hit every door on the army base. There were often times we would need to go home and unload our stash… and then go right back out again. After you have kids you want them to have those happy childhood memories as well. For Sophia, she obviously wont remember her first Halloween but when she looks back on these photos, that same nostalgia will come rushing back. For mom, it will be 10 fold. Years from now when Sophia is celebrating her baby’s first Halloween, mom will think back to the good ol’ days, of Sophia’s first Halloween. Not only will she think of Halloween but she will think about all of Sophia’s firsts in her first year of life. She will think about the first time she rolled over, she will remember the first time she slept through the night, she will remember the first time she smiled. That is why photography is so important. A photograph is not about the digital file or the paper its printed on, its about the happiness, love and nostalgia you feel when you look at that photograph. The best part is that mom had a friend with a daughter the same age. So they get to share this memory together.

I can’t believe we are 9 days away from my first Christmas mini sessions event! I am so very excited to announce that we will be hosting not one but two Christmas Mini Session events! One will be on November 19th at Greenfield Lake from 9am-2:30pm. We still have time slots available!

Christmas Mini Sessions number two will be held on December 3rd at The Children’s Learning Center on Darling Avenue from 1pm-6:30pm. $50. From each session booked on December 3rd will go to the preschool! It’s for a great school!! We still have time slots available for this date as well!
