Family Portraits at Fort Fisher
Oh one of my favorite places to photograph family portrait sessions is at Fort Fisher. The light, the trees, the ocean! It’s all so magical and makes for a really pretty background. When Lindsey got in touch with me she knew she wanted Fort Fisher as her session destination.
I met them in the Fort Fisher parking lot on a gorgeous spring day! The weather could not have been more perfect! As walked towards the funky oak tree path we chit chatted about work, kids and life. When we got to the patch of gorgeous oak trees I see the perfect light streaming through the trees so I stopped them in front of this giant bush. Dad AKA Seth was such a family man. He joked around with his kids, made his gorgeous wife, Lindsey laugh, smile at her and had so much fun with his family.
When it came time to photograph Silas and Evan, the two kiddos Evan was feeling a bit shy but dad joked around behind me to get the sweetest little smile from his “baby” girl. Evan warmed up to me as the evening wore on and I was even able to grab a few genuine smiles from her when we made our way toward the beach. For the Griffith’s beach portraits, it was high tide so we headed down towards the state recreational area. We were rushed because the area was closing and they needed to close the gates to the parking lot. We were able to grab so sweet images of all them in only 15 minutes! YES!!
