my mission is simple: to celebrate the unique beauty and spirit of every young woman who steps in front of my lens. Recently, I had the absolute joy of photographing Anna, one of the sweetest souls you could meet. With her hot pink hair and vibrant energy, Anna’s personality was an absolute dream to capture.
When Anna arrived for her graduation portrait session, she was a little nervous—totally normal! Standing in front of a camera can feel a bit overwhelming, especially when you’re celebrating such a huge milestone like graduation. But my goal? To make sure every client feels comfortable and confident, so we can capture who they truly are.
To help ease Anna’s nerves, we started slow—simple poses, natural stances, and a lot of deep breaths. I guided her every step of the way, encouraging her to relax, let her shoulders drop, and just be herself. Little by little, her confidence started to shine. That initial shyness? Completely gone, replaced with the lively, joyful spirit she naturally has.
One of my favorite moments was capturing Anna’s infectious smile and the sparkle in her eyes. And her pink hair? Oh, it added so much fun and flair to the session, perfectly matching her bright and bubbly personality! As Anna saw herself through the lens, her confidence grew, and by the end, she was moving with ease, laughing, and smiling like she was born to be in front of the camera.
We explored different spots on the UNCW campus
capturing everything from casual, candid moments to those timeless, traditional poses. Every click of the camera told the story of a young woman fully embracing her individuality and celebrating this incredible chapter in her life.
Anna’s graduation portraits are a beautiful reflection of her confidence, her growth, and her one-of-a-kind spirit. It was such an honor to capture these memories for her, and I’m so thankful for the chance to be part of her journey.
