Franklin Family Session

Can’t stop, won’t stop.

Covid didnt stop the Franklin Family this year! The Franklin Family had a big year this year and wanted to commemorate it with a family session on their family vacation. Christina’s daughter had a baby and her son got married all with in months of each other! The Franklin’s have a beach house on Oak Island and decided to have portraits done the first week of August. However, the weather had other plans.

Hurricane Isasis

The week of the portrait session, Hurricane Isaias hit. The Franklin Family made the drive to their beach home anyway and braved the storm. We had to push their session back a few days but we were lucky enough that parts of Oak Island were still open and clear. Although there were some dunes missing and debris, we were still able to make the best of it and find some locations with no debris. Although the daily forecast called for no rain and clear skies, there were thunderstorms off in the distance. At the end of the session it started to thunder. We managed to grab two more poses and then called it. Everyone kept a positive attitude and we got some great photos of the whole family.
