As a mom, I know how rare it is to do something for ourselves. Getting portraits of the whole family is such a treat, and you deserve to pamper yourself. I encourage busy moms, who struggle with body positivity and never do anything for themselves through family photography. As a mom of two girls, I completely understand how we are so busy toting our kids to doctors appointments and school, how can we possibly make time for ourselves? And on top of it, we have that inner dialog that often does not match how beautiful and strong we are, on both inside and out!

Family Portraits with Lesley Veronika
Over the years in my photography career, I’ve noticed that moms do not like getting their family portraits taken, so I’ve made it my mission to change that. I think it is beyond important for families to capture moments during their family portrait sessions, so they have photos to look back on in years to come.
As a mom of two, I can personally see the importance of having family portraits. I know it’s difficult to achieve body positivity, but your kids love you no matter what. They don’t see the stretch marks or cellulite. They see a strong mom that loves and supports them.
You don’t want to look back in 20 or 40 years and realize you don’t have a single photo taken with your family. These are the times to be cherished, so it is my mission to make you feel confident and empowered in front of my camera.
Family portraits are so important to have. I love looking back at my own. Seeing how tiny my girls were and how much has changed even in a few years is always so wonderful to see. You can’t get that sense of nostalgia without taking photos with your family. Being able to look back and remember that beautiful day where you all came together for your family portrait session is a gift that will never end.
I have a mission to make the entire family feel beautiful on the day of your session, but especially mom. As a mother, I know how stressful it can be to think about how you’ll look in the photos, so that is why I am making it my purpose to help you feel confident and empowered.
Body positivity is hard to achieve, especially after having kids. After my first daughter, I struggled for so long to accept my new body. I focused too much on the stretch marks, and not enough on the incredible miracle my body went through.
