Family Portraits at Wrightsville Beach

As a Wrightsville Beach Family portrait photographer, there are a few reasons why I love photographing families at the the beach. First, the beach is so neutral, it makes choosing outfits for your family session so easy. Secondly, it is the perfect location and photographs beautifully anytime of the year… in the summer, the evenings provide warm creamy sunsets and the winter (even in the cooler weather) still provides blue waters and warm sand. Lastly, the beach provides the perfect atmosphere to preserve family memories. Most families already go to the beach to spend time with each other and make memories. So it helps to make family portraits so much more candid and natural.

Cottle Family Session

Kristin is new to my Mommy Photography Program this year. When we started this years program she was pregnant with her sweet baby boy Harris. Her very first session was a mommy and me session with Callie Jane to document the time she spent with Callie as an only child. It was very special for Kristin and for Callie. You can see that session here. So when it was time to plan their family session, of course we had to wait until Harris made his entrance into the world. <3

Kristin knew that Wrightsville beach was the perfect place for their first family portrait as a family of four! They walked along the beach with their daughter and son. They snuggled their kiddos and gave them a ton of kisses and smiles.

And Callie was so excited to snuggle Harris and give him kisses too. She started to get restless towards the end of the session and Harris even fell asleep but we were still able to capture some really sweet images of this gorgeous family, check them out below.
