Christina’s Mommy and Me session

I met Christina and her three gorgeous children at the Arboretum one warm and sunny morning last weekend. We started in the rose garden but Will, Christina’s youngest was not loving the idea of photos, so I started with individual images of Lawton and Norah. Will ran off down a path and we all followed and after some convincing from all of us but mostly his mama, I had them walk down the path together for some really sweet images.

We moved on to a shaded area of the Arboretum where Christina played with her children. These types of sessions are the best! They depict real life. Christina snuggled, kissed and hugged her babies. She suggested ring around the rosy and skipping and the kids had a blast. Its these images that Christina will cherish the most after her kids are all grown up because they’re not the typical cliche happy family smiling at the camera. They are real.

Mommy Photography Program

Its moments like these is why I created the Mommy Photography Program. This year long, exclusive program is designed for mother’s to have these moments with their families on camera and not worry about how they will look or if they’re being photogenic. They’re just having fun with their children. Society puts a lot of emphasis on how women should like and photography has a way of bring women to hate the way they look in their portraits. Family Portraits are an investment not just for mom but for her children and grandchildren. Photography has a way of bring us back to the time when our children needed us the most.
