For Katie, that meant heading to a place close to her heart: Bald Head Island.
Katie’s connection to Bald Head Island runs deep.
Her grandmother owns a house there, and it’s been her summer escape for as long as she can remember.
From lazy beach days and bike rides along quiet streets to evenings watching the sun dip below the horizon, this island is her happy place. When it came time to plan her senior session, Katie knew there was no better backdrop to reflect who she is and where she is going.
We spent the evening exploring some of Katie’s favorite spots on the island.
The marsh with tall green grass framed her natural beauty, and the maritime forest added a touch of mystery and magic to her portraits.
Of course, the session wouldn’t have been complete without a few barefoot shots on the beach as the sun set in the background—a perfect reflection of Katie’s free-spirited personality.
