After having two kids, my body image started to lack, so I decided to do a boudoir session. I had never struggled with body image issues, so I was determined to get my mindset back to where it was before.I want all of my clients to feel celebrated. I want them to feel confidence during the session, and all the days after it. We have to remember that body positivity is a marathon, not a sprint. Seeing progress is something you will never regret. As a Topsail Beach boudoir photographer, one would think that I am boosting with confidence. After having two kids, my body image started to lack. I just didn’t feel like myself and all I could think about were the flaws I saw in the mirror. So I decided to do a boudoir portraits session. I had never struggled with body image issues, so I was willing to do anything to get my mindset back to where it was before two daughters.
Throughout the boudoir photography session, I felt empowered. And that is exactly my mission with my boudoir portraits. I want women to feel the way everyone else sees them; strong and beautiful. With today’s society and media, we are subjected to see photoshopped women that have unrealistic body types and we get in our own heads about it. No one looks like the model on the cover of that magazine, not even that model!
A boudoir photography session will let you take back your power and feel confident in your own skin. It’s my mission to bring every woman the ideals that I have instilled in me. We have to work together and cheer each other on. The more women we teach to love themselves, the better the domino effect.
I want all of my clients to feel celebrated. I want them to feel confidence during their boudoir photography session, and all the days after it. But we have to remember that body positivity is a daily struggle.
